These
essential ingredients include 'Speed & Stability'. Speed
is
vital because it provides players with the potential to hit longer
drives through increased clubhead speeds, and stability because it
provides golfers with more accuracy and control over their
golf
driving shots.
The
Titleist 910 D2 Driver comes with a 460 cc high
performance head which provides a slightly higher spin rate and launch
trajectory than its stable mate the
Titleist
910 D3 Driver.
Both models have traditional pear-shaped profiles
and
are finished off with a rich black PVD paint finish, that looks
absolutely stunning. The main differences between the 910
D2 and D3 Driver is that the D2 has a
larger sized
clubhead at
460cc
than the smaller 445cc clubhead of the D3 Driver, offering
more
forgiveness. The Titleist 910 D3 also has a slightly deeper face,
offering additional trajectory and shot shaping control, so is
more suited to the highly skilled golfers.
A powerful accolade supporting the new
Titleist
910 Drivers comes from
the Worldwide
Professional Tour itself, with over 100 players transferring over
to the new Titleist 910 Drivers within a couple of months of the
seeding process. Within that time they have already amassed a
combined total of 8 Tour victories!
Titleist 910
D2 Golf Driver Technology
Patented
SureFit Tour Technology -
What really sets the
new Titleist 910 D2 Driver apart from the rest, is the
ability for golfers to now independently set the loft and lie
angles to optimize both launch trajectory and direction control.
Although there are a few other drivers out there that offer directional
control by using adjustable face angle
technology,
they all seem to have less of an impact when it comes to
optimizing
launch angles.
The new
Titleist 910
D2 Drivers are
equipped
with the patented SureFit Tour (SFT) dual-angle hosel technology, that
offers up to 16 different loft and lie combinations. This
evolutionary two-axis design allows you to
simultaneously optimize launch trajectory, spin rate and direction
control, resulting in ultimate distance, accuracy and shot shaping
control.
Robotic testing on the 910 Drivers reveal that the 16
different loft and lie combinations can create a change in backspin by
up to 825 rpm. They can also vary the launch angle by up to
1.5%
by tweaking
the loft angle, and produce up to 6 yards difference in
direction
control when adjusting the lie angle. All of this means that you have
complete control over optimizing your driving performance.
Fast
Face
Insert Technology - Titleist
have maximized ball speed with
their fast face insert technology on
the Titleist 910 Drivers by increasing the effective hitting area
(sweet spot) by up to 15% when compared to the previous
Titleist 909 Driver models. They achieve this by varying the thickness
across the entire clubface so that there is a thicker central portion
which is equidistant from all points of the face perimeter.
Optimized
Weight Distribution -
Titleist have also optimized weight
distribution by lowering
the driver's center of gravity and moving it further back in
the
clubhead. They have done this through thinning the crown of the
cludhead by 17%, and creating a more sloped rear crown
profile. Titleist have also included a new swing weight screw located
more towards
the back end of the clubhead sole. This helps to create more stability,
for better direction control, as there is less clubhead
twisting
at the moment of impact.
