Titleist AP1 710 Golf Irons Review
|
| Following
on from the success of the original Titleist AP1
Irons that
were introduced back in 2008, Titleist have now
released
their new and improved version with the Titleist AP1 710 Irons.
Unlike
the AP2
710 Irons
which have been created for the
more accomplished
golfers who play off between 0-15 handicap, the Titleist AP1 Irons have
been specifically designed for the mid to high handicapper who needs a
little more forgiveness in their game.
Titleist
have introduced several key changes and have spent a lot of time and
effort focusing on making the feel
of the irons a little more lively and active. They've achieved this
by thinning the face & reinforcing it with a co-molded
elastomer
aluminum back
plate.
|
This
enhancement helps to produce
a more solid and hotter connection. Titleist have also improved the
overall playability and performance of the AP1 710 Irons, by
increasing the moment of inertia for greater distance and providing a
much larger effective hitting area, for more forgiveness on those
off-center hits, as well as improving the overall look of the
clubs by
shortening the blade length and top line of the short irons, to give
them a little more of a sleek looking shape.
The new Titleist AP1 710 Irons
with their dual cavity back and multi material design are far from
your traditional looking set of Titleist irons that we are
used
too, and they have been specifically designed to take player
performance and feel to a whole new level. Cast
from 431
stainless steel the Titleist
AP1 710 Golf Irons
contain a tungsten
nickel box, which has been laser welded to the sole of the clubhead
that
helps to reduce low frequency vibration for a more solid feel.
This tungsten
nickel box along with Titleist's optimized perimeter
weighting on the clubhead flange helps to keep the center of gravity
low
and deep, which provides golfers with a higher launch angle and more
ball speed. This also helps
to increase the moment of inertia and clubhead
stability, for greater distance potential, and more
forgiveness on
those off-center hits, making them the ideal golfing irons for the
mid-high handicap
golfer.
The thin 431 stainless
steel
face
on the Titleist AP1 710 Irons not only
helps to position the weight around the clubhead perimeter but
also has an Aluminum and soft elastomer layer (known as Tuned
Feel
System) integrated into the cavity's back, that helps
to improve the sound and feel at impact, and gives golfers
a hotter more penetrating ball flight.

AP2 710 Irons
are designed for serious golfers, with their classic blade looks and improved feel and
playability. These multi material, dual
cavity forged irons use the
latest ground-breaking technology to give golfers the advanced
performance, increased distance & exceptional feel that they are all
crying out for.
Titleist understand what aspiring golfers are looking for in a set of

performance in terms of distance and shot control is just
simply
not good enough anymore. Serious golfers are looking for exceptional feel as well,
and not performance at the expense of feel.
