Kombi Long Putter Review
Originally developed and designed for a select few Touring
Professionals, the Scotty Cameron Studio Select Kombi
Long Putter is
based on the tour proven putter head platform of the original Studio
Select Kombi Putter and brings a
whole new set of standards to this
category of putter.
Although it's not the most common form of putter used by golfers, the Kombi Long Putter
has proven to be a
big success and has made a significant difference to those players who
struggle to keep the hands and wrists quiet during their putting
stroke, as well as for those people who suffer from any back complaints.
The Studio Select Kombi Long Putter
offers you a
choice of either 48" or 50" shaft length and has a lie angle of 79
degrees which can be adjusted by up to - 2 degrees. This allows players
to stand almost completely upright at address. which helps to alleviate
any back problems that they may be suffering from as there is
significantly less tilting required from the waist.
By also anchoring the butt end of the putter shaft to the
sternum
it almost completely removes the element of inconsistency that the
hands and wrists may play during the putting process, which will result
in a much more consistent and reliable golf putting stroke.
The putter head design of the Scotty's
Kombi Long Putter is very
similar to that of the Studio
Select Kombi Mid Putter,
which features the superior
weighting technology consisting of 2 stainless steel circular weights
that are screwed into the heel and toe end of the putter sole and a
stainless steel bar that runs through the middle of the sole.
With optimized weighting pushing the center of gravity further back in
the putter head, the Mallet Style
Kombi Long Putter is not only
perfectly balanced and stable, but
will provide you with a more forgiving putting stroke and greater
consistency with your ball roll.
The body is precision milled from a lighter weighted 6061 aircraft
aluminum metal which enables Scotty
Cameron to create the desired
head shape and form, and comes with a
special two piece split Red Cameron Cord Grip to provide the ultimate
feel and touch to your putting performance.

contrasting red ink T-Shaped sight line along the topline and body
to help with proper alignment, and a soft misted
finish to reduce the negative effects of glare.
Although you will need to spend a little more on a
Scotty Cameron Studio Select Kombi
Putter, you will certainly find
that in this case, you are getting what you pay for. When it
comes to feel, looks and overall performance levels,
the expert craftsmanship, superior design and advanced
