The
new Scotty Cameron Studio Select Putters combine expert craftsmanship
with the latest cutting edge design and technology, to create a
stunning looking collection that make a great addition to Scotty’s
already impressive golf putter range.
Although these high quality putters are designed with the feel, touch
and performance characteristics the elite players demand, there is
enough playability and a multitude of options available to make them
desirable for the aspiring amateur golfers as well.
In fact there are 9 different models to choose from, each with their
own head shape and hosel design and individual characteristics, so
finding a putter to suit your swing style and preferred aesthetic
appearance shouldn’t be a problem.
All of the Scotty Cameron Studio Select Putters come with the
tour-inspired Cherry Dot graphics design on the back of the putter
head, attractive soft beaded mist finish that helps to reduce glare
from the topline, and are precision milled from soft, yet durable 303
stainless steel that is used to enhance feel and performance.
|
They also feature Scotty’s traditional high toe setup which helps to
reduce the tendency for players to raise the toe end of the putter head
up at address and consequently aim left of the target. To help fit your
physical makeup and individual putting style, the Scotty Cameron Studio
Select Putters give you the option of 3 different shaft lengths,
ranging from 33” through to 35”, and the opportunity to adjust the lie
angle to +/- 2 degrees from the standard lie of 71 degrees.
To
ensure that the weight to shaft length ratio is accurate, Scotty has
introduced his new circular heel and toe weighting technology that is
adjusted accordingly to make sure that the putter head weight is
relative to the shaft length. He also offers a heavier weighted option
for the 34” and 35” shaft lengths for those golfers who prefer that
slightly heavier and more solid feel.
This new circular
weighting system in the Scotty Cameron Studio Select Putters also
offers the additional benefit of helping to stabilize the putter head
by reducing the amount of clubface rotation through the impact area.
This enhancement will do wonders for your confidence and overall
putting performance because it increases the effective hitting area
(sweet spot) and gives you a much more consistent putting strike that
you can use to feel and judge distance with greater accuracy.
The Studio Select Putters are Tour validated, each of the 9 designs are
inspired by Scotty's experience of working with the best golfers in the
world, this has made them the number 1 putter on the PGA Tour since
1997, and although you will need to spend a little more on a Scotty
Cameron Putter compared to other brands, you will certainly not be
disappointed.
In this case, you definitely get what you pay
for, which is a high performance putter that is aesthetically pleasing
to the eye and will simply help you to gain more confidence and hole
more putts. All models come with a new head cover and customized
options are available for right hand orientation, but only the Scotty
Cameron Studio Select Newport 2 and Squareback 1 are available for left
handers.

Select Squareback 1 Golf Putter Review |
The
Scotty
Cameron Squareback 1 Golf Putter by Titleist Scotty Cameron
is another fairly recent addition after the experimental prototype
proved popular on tour. This years model has been fine tuned to include
a double bend shaft-over-spud setup for golfers seeking face balanced
mallet putter.

Select Squareback 2 Golf Putter Review |
Although
the Scotty
Cameron Squareback 2 Golf Putter by Titleist Scotty Cameron
at first glance looks very similar to the Squareback 1 Putter, there
are some subtle differences in their design though, with the Squareback
2 Putter being setup to give players a bit more toe flow.
The subtle differences come in the form of a slightly thinner topline,
thicker cavity wall and a mid-length plumbing neck hosel that is
positioned slightly further back towards the heel on the Suareback 2
Model, instead of the shaft over spud setup in the Squareback 1 Model.
