Fastback 1.5 Golf Putter
Review!
|
|
The
Scotty Cameron Studio Select Fastback 1.5 Putter has a very similar
look to the Newport style head, with its compact heel to toe
clubhead design, but has a unique carefully designed rounded flange
with a milled sight line for accurate alignment.
With a new flare neck and half shaft of offset, the Fastback 1.5 has
the perfect look at address and provides an accurately balanced and
comfortable feeling putting stroke that is ideal for the golfer who
prefers a more balanced faced putter head design.
The Fastback 1.5 putter has a slightly thicker topline than some of the
other Models, but benefits from the new high toe design that ensures it
sits perfectly square at address to reduce the common issue that many
golfers suffer from, which is to aim left of their intended target line
by raising the toe end up at address.
As well as the new Tour-Inspired Cherry Dot Graphics the Fastback 1.5
Putter utilizes a circular weighting system that uses interchangeable
weights screwed into the toe and heel of the putter head. The location
of these weights stabilizes the clubhead by reducing the amount of
clubface rotation during impact, and increase the moment of inertia for
a larger sweet spot.
|
This weighting system ensures that the
right combination of weight to shaft length ratio is correct for the 3
shaft length options that Scotty has to offer, which are 33”, 34” and
35”. He also provides a heavier weighted option for the 34” and 35”
shaft lengths for those golfers who require a heavier and more solid
feeling putter.
As well have having shaft length and weighting
options, the Scotty Cameron Studio Select Putter Line also gives you
the option to adjust the lie angle by up to +/- 2 degrees from the
standard lie angle of 71 degrees. Finished off with a soft mist beaded
finish to help reduce glare from
the topline, the Studio Select Fastback 1.5 Putter comes with a red
Cameron cord grip for great feel and a single flange sight line for
accurate alignment.
Although you will need to spend a little
more on a Scotty Cameron Putter compared to other brands, you will
certainly not be disappointed. In this case you definitely get what you
pay, which is a high performance putter that is aesthetically pleasing
to the eye and will simply help you to gain more confidence and hole
more putts.

very similar to the Newport 2 Putter, but comes with a flare neck

Select Squareback 1 Golf Putter Review |
The
Scotty
Cameron Squareback 1 Golf Putter by Titleist Scotty Cameron
is another fairly recent addition after the experimental prototype
proved popular on tour. This years model has been fine tuned to include
a double bend shaft-over-spud setup for golfers seeking face balanced
mallet putter.
With the same new tour-inspired Cherry Dot graphics that all of the 9
putters possess in the Studio Select Series, the Squareback 1 Golf
Putter gets its name from the signature square flange that includes a
milled sight line on the flange for accurate alignment.

Select Squareback 2 Golf Putter Review |
Although
the Scotty
Cameron Squareback 2 Golf Putter by Titleist Scotty Cameron
at first glance looks very similar to the Squareback 1 Putter, there
are some subtle differences in their design though, with the Squareback
2 Putter being setup to give players a bit more toe flow.
The subtle differences come in the form of a slightly thinner topline,
thicker cavity wall and a mid-length plumbing neck hosel that is
positioned slightly further back towards the heel on the Suareback 2
Model, instead of the shaft over spud setup in the Squareback 1 Model.
