California Coronado Putter Review
The new Scotty Cameron California
Coronado Putter has been created with the highly skilled golfer in
mind. With perfect balance and exceptional feel this tour proven bladed
putter with its beautifully smooth two-tiered flange that flows
back into a pulled in heel will appeal to all putting purists.
With its clean stepless shaft and smooth flowing neck hosel design
with a half shaft of offset, the California
Coronado Putter takes advantage of the same cutting edge
interchangeable weighting technology that made Scotty's Studio
Select Series Putters so successful.
By using circular stainless steel weights that are secured into
the heel and toe ends of the sole of the putter head (that can be
adjusted to either be heavier or lighter), Scotty is able to perfectly
balance the putter head with the three shaft lengths options that
he has to offer, which are 33", 34" and 35".
This weighting technology along with the ability for you to adjust
the standard lie angle of 71 degrees by up to +/- 2 degrees, enables
you to choose a California Coronado Putter that is perfectly matched to
your physical shape and preferred putting style.
The location of these weights also offers the additional benefit of
stabilizing the putter head so that there is less club face rotation
during the putting stroke, and also increases the moment of inertia to
provide you with more confidence through greater accuracy and more
forgiveness.
Like the rest of the Scotty
Cameron California Putter Series, the high performance California Coronado Putter is
precision milled from a heavier 303 stainless steel metal that is soft
yet durable and provides exceptional sound and feel to promote accurate
distance control.
There is not much that Scotty hasn't thought about, he has also
introduced a high toe setup in the Scotty Cameron California Coronado Putter
to help reduce the temptation many golfers have, which is to raise the
toe end of the putter head up at address, that leads to aiming left of
the intended target line.
To further help you with your setup and aim the Coronado Golf Putter
incorporates a draft sole which keeps the putter head square
in the
correct playing position at address and a single dot sight line on the
topline to
ensure accurate alignment.
The Scotty Cameron California Coronado Putter comes
complete with the Black Cameron Tour Grip for exceptional feel and
touch and a specially designed Scotty
Cameron Putter Head Cover.
In total there are 5 Designs in the Scotty
Cameron California Putter
Series, each named after Scotty’s favorite Californian Towns,
which also include the elegant Monterey
blade, the wide bodied Sonoma
mallet, the refined flow neck Del
Mar Mallet, and the smooth Hollywood
blade.
Each of these 5 Scotty
Cameron California Putters
merge the very best of classic and
contemporary design and performance based technology, that simply look
stunning with their heat-treated honey dipped misted finish which also
helps to reduce glare from the topline.
Although the Scotty Cameron California
Series Putters are a little more expensive than other brands, you
will certainly find
that in this case, you are getting what you pay for.
The expert craftsmanship, superior design and advanced
technology that go into the finely milled Scotty
Cameron Putter makes them well
worth their price tag. |
