Tour V2 Range Finder Review
|
|
Although
Bushnell have recently released a couple of new golf laser
range finder
models this year, with the Bushnell
Tour
Z6 and the Pro
1M Rangefinder series, the Bushnell Tour V2 range
finder is still an extremely popular choice amongst avid golfers.
Weighing only 6.6 ounces and with a distance ranging capability of
between 5 and 1,000 yards, with an accuracy of within +/1 yard up to a
range of 300 yards, the Bushnell
Tour V2 range finder is still considered to be one of the
lightest and most accurate tournament edition golf laser rangefinders
currently available.
As with all of Bushnell's most recent golf range finders the Tour V2 is
equipped with PinSeeker Technology. This famous technology ensures that
you lock onto the pin position with a display signal in the viewfinder
and avoid mesuring incorrect distances to unwanted objects that may
crop up in the background. |
If more than one object is acquired, then the distance to the closer of
the 2 objects is displayed on the screen. The Tour V2 works by using an
invisible, laser beam that bounces off the target and returns to the
unit. A high speed digital clock then measures the time it took for the
laser beam to reach the target and return. With advanced digital
electronics the Tour V2 instantly calculates the distance to within +/-
1 yard and shows it on the LCD screen.
The entire process takes less than a split second from pushing the
button to displaying the distance on the viewfinder. This Tournament
Edition Bushnell Range Finder also gives you the option to
display distances in either yards or meters, depending on what your
preferred measurement readings are. Another great feature on the V2 is
the scan mode. This enables you to view the surrounding landscape
whilst the LCD displays a continuous reading of the distances to
targets that you scan. The Bushnell Tour V2 golf laser range finder
offers you unrivaled looks, feel and performance!
Powered by a 3-volt battery, and legal for tournament play, the Tour V2
laser range finder boasts 5x magnification and comes with a quality
carry case and easy to handle high-tak rubber grips on the top and
bottom. Although superseded by the Bushnell Pro 1M and Tour Z6, there
is still a place for the Bushnell Tour V2 laser range finder, as it is
one of the most affordable rangefinders around and can be purchased for

Bushnell Golf
Range
Finder - Nov

by Amathom
The Bushnell Tour V2 rangefinder is easy to use and provides me a
better idea about how far
I am from the flag. I have just started playing golf this past year and
find this useful for practice as well as play. Practice helps me figure
out how far I can hit the ball with different clubs and consistently
know that the distance is correct. Where I practice is not always
accurately marked. With this information it is then easier to translate
practice experience to my real rounds of golf. Removes a lot of
speculation, and helps me learn how to better judge distances.

This Rangefinder Stink - Oct

I bought the Tour V2 range finder based on the reviews. The range
finding functionality
works great, but one battery (which costs around $9) lasts a little
more than one round of golf. I believe there is a short in the
circuitry, but Bushnell is charging me $10 to take a look at it. For
something this expensive I am very unimpressed.

Loved the product. I have used the Bushnell Tour V2 range finder about
five times to date and it is
extremely easy to use and accurate. I no longer have to look around for
yardage markers and it is dead on every time. It is already helping to
improve my score.
Great Purchase - Sept 29, 2012

I purchased the Bushnell Tour V2 golf laser rangefinderis for
my 15 year old daughter who plays high school
golf. It was as described & has aided her in accuracy to the
green. I would highly recommend this for anyone wanting to improve
their game & competitive golf.

Apart from price, one of the most important things that you need to

using it for. When it comes to choosing a golf range finder there are
two types that
you can buy, you can either go for a Tournament
Edition rangefinder or
a Slope
Edition rangefinder. Check below to learn the difference

Best
Tournament Edition Golf Range Finders
|
|
If
you're looking for a golf laser range finder
that can be used in competition or for handicap purposes then
you will need to buy a Tournament
Edition rangefinder, as these type of range finders provide
line of sight distance measurements only and are deemed to be legal for
tournament use (where local rules apply).
2012 has seen the release of some excellent new models from the market
leading brands. These new rangefinders are faster at
retrieving results and more accurate at laser ranging targets than ever
before. Click the image to the left to learn all about the

Best
Slope Edition Golf Laser Range Finders
|
|
Slope
Edition golf laser rangefinders are considered non-legal for
tournament play because they offer additional features that provide
adjusted yardage
measurements which compensate for the natural inclines and
declines of the course, and some even account for climate
conditions and offer suggestions on club selection!
So if you just want a range finder to use in practice
or to improve your game so you can gain that crucial edge
over your golfing buddies, then a Slope edition range finder may very
well be the one to consider. Check out the best Slope edition golf
range finders for 2012 by clicking on the image to the left.
