Bushnell Tour V2 Golf Laser
Range Finder Review
|
|
Although
Bushnell have recently released a couple of new golf laser range finder
models this year, with the Bushnell Tour Z6 and the Pro 1M
Rangefinder series, the Bushnell Tour V2
range finder is still an extremely popular choice amongst avid golfers.
Weighing only 6.6 ounces and with a distance ranging capability of
between 5 and 1,000 yards, with an accuracy of within +/1 yard up to a
range of 300 yards, the Bushnell Tour V2 is still considered
to be one of the lightest and most accurate tournament edition golf
laser rangefinders currently available.
As with all of Bushnell's most recent golf range finders the Tour V2 is
equipped with PinSeeker Technology. This technology ensures
that you lock onto the pin position with a display signal in the
viewfinder and avoid mesuring incorrect distances to unwanted objects
that may crop up in the background.
If more than one object is acquired, then the distance to the closer of
the 2 objects is displayed on the screen. The Tour V2 works by using an
invisible, laser beam that bounces off the target and returns to the
unit. |
A high speed digital clock then measures the time it took for the laser
beam to reach the target and return. With advanced digital electronics
the Tour V2 instantly calculates the distance to within +/- 1 yard and
shows it on the LCD screen. The entire process takes less than a split second from pushing the
button to displaying the distance on the viewfinder. This Tournament
Edition Bushnell Range Finder also gives you the option to display
distances in either yards or meters, depending on what your preferred
measurement readings are.
Another great feature on the V2 is the scan
mode. This enables you to view the surrounding landscape whilst the LCD
displays a continuous reading of the distances to targets that you
scan. The Bushnell Tour V2 golf laser range finder offers you unrivaled
looks, feel and performance!
Powered by a 3-volt battery, and legal for tournament play, the Tour V2
laser range finder boasts 5x magnification and comes with a quality
carry case and easy to handle high-tak rubber grips on the top and
bottom. Although superseded by the Bushnell Pro 1M and Tour Z6, there
is still a place for the Bushnell Tour V2 laser range finder, as it is
one of the most affordable rangefinders around.
