Bushnell Pro 1M Slope Golf Laser
Range Finder Review
|
|
The
new 2012 Bushnell
Pro 1M Slope range finder is the next generation model up
from the original and extremely successful Pro 1600 slope edition golf
laser rangefinder and now offers some additional exciting new upgrades
and features.
The Pro 1M slope offers an incredible distance ranging
capability of 5 yards to 1 mile, that is accurate to within +/- 1 yard.
It also has a maximum distance range of 550 yards to the pin. Contrast
and clarity of viewing have also been dramatically improved with the
new Vivid Display Technology upgrade.
This technology produces much brighter and sharper readings with a new
red colored display format. The only difference between the Pro 1M
Slope rangefinder and Pro 1M Tournament Edition, which is its
sister model, is the addition of slope technology in the Pro 1M Slope,
otherwise they are the same.
This slope technology provides compensated distances for changes in
elevation, and although can be used as a great coaching tool, it does
make the Bushnell Pro 1M Slope fall into the Non-Legal
Range Finder
category. |
Weighing 12 ounces the Pro 1M Slope rangefinder is heavier than most of
the slope edition range finders out there. This is mainly due to its
horizontal orientation, which means it has a similar shape to a pair of
binoculars. The benefit of this design is that you operate it with 2
hands, which makes it much easier to steady, especially on those long
distance ranges. PinSeeker Technology is one of the classic features
included in the Pro 1M Slope rangefinder and is common all of the
latest Bushnell Range Finders.
This technology ensures that you capture accurate distances to the
targets that you aim at. It works by ignoring any background objects by
isolating and providing distance measurements for the nearest target in
the viewfinder, even when the background objects are larger and more
reflective than your intended target.
Scan mode is another great feature on this Bushnell
Slope Edition Rangefinder. This feature allows you to pan
across the landscape and capture continuous distance readings to
targets that you scan. This comes in extremely useful when you need to
check the distance to lay up points, or to see how far it is to carry a
bunker, lake or rough terrain, etc.
Instead of using a hinged battery door that was causing problems
on the old Pro 1600 Series, the Pro 1M slope range finder now
uses a pois-thread door which is much more reliable. The Bushnell Pro
1M slope golf laser range finder also comes with a new smarter carry
case and takes a 3-volt battery that gives you an extended life span.
The Bushnell Pro 1M Slope offers 7x magnification, which is one of the
highest around and allows you to zoom in even closer than ever before.
It is also waterproof and comes with a new RainGuard HD lens coating to
protect it from the elements.
