Bushnell Pro 1M Golf Laser Range Finder Review
|
|
The
2012 Bushnell
Pro 1M Rangefinder is the new and upgraded version of the
original and very popular Bushnell Pro 1600 Series, but now comes with
some exciting new additional features to help further improve the
quality of its performance on the course.
The Bushnell Pro 1M offers an incredible ranging
capability that is accurate to within 1 yard up to a distance of 1 mile
(maximum range of 550 yards to pin). It also takes advantage of
Bushnell's Vivid Display Technology which ensures you have a better
visual experience by improving contrast and clarity.
This horizontally held golf laser range finder offers exactly the same
professional look and durable design as its sister model the Pro 1M
slope, but with one key difference. The Bushnell Pro 1M slope offers
additional help in the form of slope technology, which makes it fall
into the Non-Legal
Range Finder category.
Although offering similar dimensions to the Pro 1600
model, the Bushnell Pro 1M Rangefinder has much smoother lines and
looks more attractive with its black, white and red color scheme. |
Weighing 12 ounces, the Pro 1M rangefinder is not the lightest Bushnell
Range Finder! However, as it is horizontally-orientated, the
Bushnell Pro 1M range finder is designed to be held with two hands
making it easier to keep steady on those long distance targets. The Pro
1M rangefinder also fits nicely into the hands and has a tough durable
multi-material construction that feels sturdy, and the tacky rubbery
textured material where you place your fingers, provides excellent grip
in wet and foggy weather conditions.
As one of the most advanced Bushnell
Tournament Edition laser range finders, the Pro 1M range
finder is packed full of the latest cutting edge technology and
exciting new features to help you improve your scoring. One of
Bushnell's trademark features that is in all of their latest golf laser
rangefinders is PinSeeker Technology.
This works by ignoring background objects that appear in the viewfinder
and isolates the nearest target first, even when the objects in the
background are larger. Another upgraded feature is the Vivid Display
Technology, this offers a new red display color on the viewfinder which
is much clearer and brighter than the black display color on the Pro
1600 laser model. You can also adjust the brightness levels with one of
four options to match the current lighting conditions.
The Pro 1M offers an increased ranging capability of up to 1 mile and a
maximum range of 550 yards to the flag, which is 100 yards further than
the Pro 1600 model, and also shares the same 7x magnification
capability so you can zero in on your targets closer than most other
golf range finders out there. The Busnell Pro 1M Range Finder also
provides a scan mode so you can pan across the landscape and gather
continuous readings to your desired targets.
The Bushnell Pro 1M Rangefinder uses a 3-volt battery and has a new
posi-thread battery door, which has replaced the hinged door that was
causing a few problems on the original Pro 1600 golf laser rangefinder.
It also comes with a nice looking premium carry case and a 2-year
limited warranty. Similar to all of the recently created Bushnell golf
rangefinders, the Pro 1M golf laser rangefinder features a tripod mount
that allows you to attach it to a mono pod, which you can then place on
to your cart or umbrella holder, to give you a more stable platform to
work from.
