Alamos
is the second golf course to be developed at the Morgados do Reguengo
project, which is located just north of Portimao. Although not as long
as its sister course Morgado, the Alamos golf course is a cleverly
designed Algarve golf course.
Set
in the beautifully unspoilt rolling countryside of the Algarve, Alamos
golf course runs alongside two large lakes, through wide valleys and
sits just below the spectacular mountain range of the Monchique.
Designed
by Russell Talley of European Golf Design, and opened in 2006, Alamos
golf course is a much shorter par 71 golf course at only 5,641 meters
in length compared to Morgado.
But
unlike the Morgado golf course, Alamos has much tighter fairways, half
the bunkers and is a much shorter par 71 golf course of only 5,641
meters in length. The cleverly placed trees at Alamos golf course, make
course management a key feature of playing this golf course well.
